This noble Santoku from the MIYABI 5000MCD series is synonymous with the finest Japanese craftsmanship and is inspired by the aesthetic tradition of the Far East. The damask pattern on the blade recalls the swords of Japanese stories, and rightly so, as they are extremely sharp and attractive knives. The blade consists of 100 layers of steel surrounding a core of MicroCarbide MC63 powder steel. The blade is produced using the special CRYODUR system, making it extremely robust. The Santoku knife is a masterpiece both aesthetically and in its construction, combining traditional methods with the most innovative technology. This knife is sharpened using the classic Honbazuke technique, giving it a long-lasting edge. This process is done by hand to achieve an authentic result. From the blade to the handle, this Santoku knife is unique: the natural structure of the birch wood used for the handle gives the knife its distinct appearance. The handle fits comfortably in the hand thanks to its traditional D shape, ensuring precise, fatigue-free cutting. The design is completed with elegant details, such as a mosaic Japanese pin in the handle. The aerodynamic design of the knife emphasizes its functionality: With the MIYABI Santoku knives, you can easily cut fish, meat, and vegetables.
